Growing Hope Farnham is in the process of applying for charity status. Growing Hope therapists are all members of a professional board and receive regular clinical supervision. We take the safety and wellbeing of all children really seriously – you can read our latest safeguarding policy here. Each year we complete an annual report which gives details of the impact that we have had in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
Ric Garvey (Chair) – After a 15-year career in the City of London in Wealth Management and Capital Markets, Ric took a step of faith and entered full time ministry as a Pastor of Jubilee Church Farnham in 2016. Ric has since completed an MA in Applied Theology and is currently completing a PhD in Spiritual Formation. Ric is very excited about the impact Growing Hope Farnham will have across the town and at Jubilee Church. He is looking forward to watching the project develop over the coming years as it serves families across Farnham.
Laura Norman – Laura has been a part of Jubilee Church since it was launched 22 years ago. She has had a career working with children and started up the additional needs’ ministry at Jubilee 8 years ago. She is passionate about being inclusive for all those attending church. Laura has been involved with Growing Hope since she started running the When Dreams Change course in June 2023 and is now looking forward to being involved with the Growing Hope clinic in Farnham.Â
Sue Woodger – Sue is a parent of three children, including one child with additional needs. As an active member in their SEN community of Farnham, Sue has experienced and witnessed first-hand the challenges of navigating life with a child with additional needs. Sue brings a wealth of experience across the public sector at both local and national levels – specifically system improvements and programme management. Sue is passionate about helping families with additional needs and advocating for those who have difficulty navigating the services that should be in place to support such families.
Daniel Gilderson – Danny presently serves in his majesty’s Royal Air Force as a frontline crewman on the Chinook fleet. His 15 and half years means he’s no stranger to public service. He is married and has 2 children, of which one has been diagnosed with autism. Having experienced firsthand the daily trials and difficulties that both his child and family go through, his hope is to be a voice for Growing Hope and help them to support all those that walk through their doors.Â
David Brice – David is the Pastor of Grace Church Wrecclesham, a local church in Farnham. He has a previous background in Medicine before training for Ministry. Both of these spheres have highlighted the significant and urgent need there is for services like Growing Hope. He’s excited about seeing God at work, transforming lives and bringing hope where otherwise there seems so little.
