Abi is an experienced children’s speech and language therapist at Growing Hope King’s Cross, with a specialism in Autism. She has a passion for working with children and their families, supporting the development of communication skills so that everyone can understand others and be understood themselves. She has training and clinical experience using a variety of different therapeutic approaches.
Naomi is a children’s occupational therapist with several years of clinical experience, including training in sensory integration, attachment and various therapy interventions. Naomi has a Masters in health and rehabilitation, and a PhD in the experience of play for children with cerebral palsy. She founded Growing Hope in 2017.
Judith is a children’s physiotherapist working with Growing Hope King’s Cross. She has experience in a variety of settings including clinics, mainstream and special needs schools. Judith is trained in Pilates, Baby Massage, Rebound Therapy and Bobath short courses. She has a special interest in babies and young children with neurodevelopmental needs but loves working with all children and families to promote functional skills helping each child reach their full potential. Judith lives with her husband in Battersea, London.
Jess is a freelance Child Counsellor for Growing Hope King’s Cross. She trained with Place2Be. She works with children, young people and parents, using play and art as well as talking in her sessions. She is also a Circle of Security facilitator.
Alley Akoh is a freelance Art Therapist with Growing Hope King’s Cross. She has experience working with children in schools, bereavement work and offering Art Therapy to children who have additional needs. She has a Masters in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University and is passionate about offering a safe place for children and families to express themselves. She believes that art making and art materials can help children to process their feelings and support family communication, fostering learning and emotional growth.
Georgie is a freelance Music Therapist with Growing Hope King’s Cross. She has a Masters from Roehampton University in Music Therapy and experience working with children with additional needs and within neuro-disability rehabilitation. She is passionate about providing a safe place for children to express themselves through sound and is convinced that music is a powerful tool for growth and development. Georgie lives in West London and attends KXC.
Aimee is a volunteer speech and language therapist with Growing Hope King’s Cross who is passionate about helping children find their voice and empowering families to feel confident communicating with their child. She works in schools across London during the week and supports Growing Hope’s parent training in communication.
Lizzie is Growing Hope’s voluntary clinical supervisor for physios. She is a children’s physiotherapist specialising in respiratory and neuro developmental physiotherapy. Lizzie is a trained Pilates instructor and has also taught adaptive swim for children with disabilities. Lizzie is married to Nick and has two children. She is passionate about supporting families and helping children to reach their full potential.
Joni is Growing Hope King’s Cross’ Administrator; she helps to make the behind-the-scenes operations run as smoothly as possible and loves helping Growing Hope to reach as many families as possible. She is studying French & Philosophy at King’s College London and has been attending KXC for the last 2 years. She loves the way they dedicate their time, energy and resources to helping others, and so she is excited to work with Growing Hope, as they embody these values too. She currently lives in South London with her friends, and loves playing lacrosse, making music and cooking.
We rely on the support of our volunteers. We are looking for anyone who is willing to help us with the behind-the-scenes work of engaging supporters and raising funds for the charity. We are happy to train and equip you so no prior experience is necessary. If you can spare 1-3 hours a month then please get in touch.
