Abi is an experienced children’s speech and language therapist at Growing Hope King’s Cross, with a specialism in Autism. She has a passion for working with children and their families, supporting the development of communication skills so that everyone can understand others and be understood themselves. She has training and clinical experience using a variety of different therapeutic approaches.

Occupational Therapist

Karen is an Occupational Therapist with a special interest in Sensory Integration and Play. She has worked in a variety of training settings, schools, clinics and hospitals. She has a Masters degree in paediatric Occupational Therapy and has served on the board for the South African Institute of Sensory Integration. Her passion is using play as a medium to unlock skills in children, and supporting others to do the same.

Speech and Language Therapist

Beth is a Speech and Language Therapist at Growing Hope King's Cross. She has experience working with children with a range of needs, with a specialism in Developmental Language Disorder. She has training and experience in a variety of therapeutic techniques and is passionate about providing therapy that is both engaging and functional to help individuals reach their communication goals.

Music Therapist

Joanna is a freelance Music Therapist with Growing Hope King’s Cross. She has a Masters from the University of the West of England in Music Therapy, and experience working with children with additional needs and providing bereavement support. She has a person-centred approach, celebrating every individual’s story of success, and strongly believes that music can be used to create a safe place for relationships to be reimagined, rebuilt, and repaired. Joanna lives in West London and attends St Mary’s London.

Jess is a freelance Child Counsellor for Growing Hope King’s Cross. She trained with Place2Be. She works with children, young people and parents, using play and art as well as talking in her sessions. She is also a Circle of Security facilitator.

Farah is Growing Hope King’s Cross’ Administrator; she helps to make the behind-the-scenes operations run as smoothly as possible and loves helping Growing Hope to reach as many families as possible. Farah brings 11 years of experience in adult social care as a customer service advisor. Her dedication lies in working with vulnerable children and families, aiming to make a positive impact on their lives. Alongside her extensive professional background, Farah holds a foundation degree in Travel & Tourism (FDA Hons), which has enriched her understanding of diverse cultures and communities. Fluent in five languages, including French, Swahili, Urdu, and Punjabi, through her diverse skill set and unwavering commitment, Farah strives to create a brighter future for those in need.
